The White County Children's Safety Center offers a variety of volunteering opportunities:

Volunteer Advocate

  • Our desire as a CAC is to make the child/children feel as comfortable as possible while they are here. Volunteer advocate works with CAC advocates in helping make them feel at ease, safe and comfortable
  • You will be introduced to the family by the CAC Advocate and informed that you are available to assist them with needs the child/children may have while they are here.
  • Be attentive to the needs of any children who may be at the CAC, including children waiting for a medical exam, during your volunteer time.
  • Your main emphasis as a Volunteer will be to be helpful with the family with other children – get them involved with a game, books, video, etc.

Fundraising/Public Relations/Events Volunteer

  • Set up booths and pass out educational information for public awareness events
  • Work with a committee to plan, organize and request donations for fund raising activities and projects
